Why are citizens furious about the current Healthcare proposals?

Citizens are voicing their opinions at townhall meetings. These citizens are loud, angry and not easily controlled or silenced. There is a good reason for that. Healthcare – the ability to seek the help of a physician in times of sickness – is to be run and controlled by our government. That is the issue at hand and that is why people are outraged, furious and completely beside themselves. That’s it. To think that our government wants to control what doctor we can see and what treatment we can obtain is in fact an outrage.

But that’s not the end of the story. Now you are being called an extremist, a radical and un-american for being outraged. What is happening here? People are being called un-american for opposing a healthcare system that in itself is un-american? This is class warfare at its finest. You promise someone a free service and then you attack the people who are against it. Makes sense on the surface until you discover that the “free service” has an extremely high price tag and I am not just talking Dollars. Over time you will see longer wait times and fewer choices in doctors and treatments. I am not being cynical or overly pessimistic. It’s just what will happen when a gigantic bureaucracy driven body like our government tries to run an already gigantic bureaucracy driven sector like Healthcare. But rather than look at why Government Healthcare will be terribly bad for everyone, let’s look at the real reason our president and democrats in general are pushing so hard to put Government run Healthcare in place. We are being told that we need to insure the uninsured and we need to bring the cost of healthcare down. I agree. What I can’t see is how you get from these worthwhile goals to “the government has to run everything”. How do you make that connection? Where is the reasoning that explains thatonlythe government can run an insurance plan that covers uninsured citizens. Where does it say that only the government can run Healthcare at affordable cost to the consumer? There is no reason. Our current government wants National Healthcare to increase it’s power over ordinary citizens. Simple as that. Once you are on the government healthcare plan you will vote for the party that promises to keep that system going. It’s the same with social security and other social programs. It’s a way to get you dependend on the government for no other reason than your vote. So yes, you can call National Healthcare opponents extreme, crazy, loony, un-american or anything else in the book but I don’t see anything wrong with not wanting to be dependent on the Government, especially for my Healthcare.

So lets start this Healthcare debate over. How can our Government “help” make Heathcare available to uninsured citizens?       Tax credits? Heathcare allowances? Subsidies?

How can the government “help” bring cost for insurance plans, medications and treatments under control?  Cap malpractice lawsuits? Subsidies medical research?

Find a way, be bipartisan, be original, be innovative, be American ! You don’t want your Health handled by government bureaucracy. Trust me.
