The elections have passed and I agree that electing Obama was a historic moment for our country. There are other reasons why Obama was chosen by many to be the next president. The economy, the war, youth, likability and who knows what else. So here is what I think.
Chosing a president to make history makes no sense at all and maybe I wouldn’t have a problem with it if Obama didn’t have such a terribly leftist record. The person with the most liberal views in the senate will be our president? A person who sought out professors with Marxist views? A person who has associations with people like Ayers and Wright?
I don’t know if making history is worth losing more and more of our freedoms and signing ourselves up for more and more dependency on the government. Oh well…, the people have spoken, so we shall see.
